Hello Kelowna-Centre,
I am so honoured to be named the Kelowna-Centre candidate for the Conservative Party of BC.
But not only am I honoured, I am humbled. This is truly a position that, if won, means that I would be a public servant who will remain committed to making our community a better place to live, work and play.
Recently, we have been witnessing the BC NDP speaking divisively and with rhetoric that seems to pit constituents against each other when they should be speaking words that inspire and unite. This is what I think true leadership takes.
I have been personally appalled to see divisive leadership in positions of power and trust in BC. It was this shock, and a subsequent resolve that we could do better, that has ignited this passion and call in me to be part of the change that British Columbians so desperately need. That’s why I am running for the Conservative Party of BC this election.
So who am I and where does this commitment to servanthood and unity come from?

Well, I’ve lived in the Kelowna area for over 26 years now. I have raised a family here with my husband Andrew. I have a strong foundation and belief system that includes the need for serious leadership to tackle the serious issues that British Columbians are facing: record-high debt, an overburdened healthcare system and unaffordability both in the housing market and at the grocery store.
So why the Conservative Party of BC and why now? I did not feel that David Eby’s NDP or the official opposition was representing my voice or my values.
In Kelowna, I’ve noticed a significant increase in homelessness and addiction and a subsequent increase in crime. I’ve seen small businesses closing, one after the other, even some of my own personal favourites like Bliss Yoga studio, Bliss Bakery and Amora Day Spa.
I am running for the common sense Conservative Party of BC because they are like a breath of fresh air to me. Our party leader, John Rustad, has a good heart, integrity and he does the right thing, even when it’s unpopular.
The Conservative Party will stand up for rehiring our health care workers. In a time of staff shortages and long wait times, what makes more sense than this? The Conservative Party of BC will fight to keep hard drugs out of communities and hospitals.. We want to open up treatment facilities and we want to help the vulnerable access treatment, not just safe supply. I am proud to be part of the party that first sought to recriminalize hard drugs. David Eby’s NDP policy was clearly a failure.
Currently, BC is not investment or small business friendly. In fact, we are losing investors and small businesses are closing daily. Mills are closing. Conservatives will bring back economic prosperity and responsibility.
Kelowna, we have so much work to do, but I am confident that you know and feel it too. That is why I am seeking to serve you for at least the next four years.
I want to see BC thrive and become more affordable, our loved ones safe from crime and addictions, healthcare and healthcare practitioners supported, and our economy prosperous again.
I know we can do this together.
